The Alexander Thomas Boehling '10 Memorial Award: Recognizes a senior undergraduate leader who demonstrates commitment to the mission of the University and the concept of leadership as determined by the Vice President for Student Affairs.
The Anece F. McCloud Excellence in Diversity Award: Recognizes a member of the Washington and Lee community who has demonstrated a personal commitment to promoting diversity awareness, acceptance, and appreciation through various means and on various levels of campus life.
The Christopher Noland Student Activities Leadership Award: Recognizes a student whose leadership has been most impactful during the past academic year.
The Decade Award: Recognizes a rising junior (current sophomore) who has shown involvement and leadership within the W&L academic and extracurricular communities and who has furthered discussions of women's issues on campus and beyond. *Any member of the W&L community may submit a nomination for the Decade Award to Paul Youngman.
The Frank J. Gilliam Award: Recognizes a student who has made the greatest contribution to the Division of Student Affairs.
The G. Holbrook Barber Scholarship Award: Honors a rising senior (current junior) who manifests superior qualities of helpfulness and friendliness to fellow students, public spirit, scholarship and personal character. The fund was established in 1977 by Mrs. Elizabeth Cross Barber and her son, G. Holbrook Barber Jr., in memory of Dr. G. Holbrook Barber, who graduated from Washington and Lee in 1917. The student selected for this honor should be on campus during most of the senior year to serve as an example for other students. *Any member of the W&L community may submit a nomination for the Decade Award to Paul Youngman.
The Greek Man & Woman of the Year: Recognizes a Greek man and a Greek woman making the greatest and most positive impact on the fraternity and sorority system during the past academic year. The Greek governing councils select the recipient of this award.
The John W. Elrod Unsung General Award: Recognizes a student who has contributed in ways often not seen by the larger community and who has brought both depth and breadth to the University.
The Larry Stuart Memorial Award: Recognizes a student who exemplifies Public Safety Senior Sergeant Larry Stuart's character and commitment to the community.
Best Adviser: Recognizes a campus adviser that goes above and beyond in their efforts to support student initiatives, foster relationships, and provide opportunities for new experiences.
Best Student Composition of the Year: Recognizes the best student composition written during the current academic year.
Community Catalyst Award: Recognizes a student that shows outstanding leadership to improve the lives of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and/or queer communities on the Washington and Lee campus and/or in the surrounding local area.
Distinguished Summer Work (internship and research): Recognizes a student's summer work experience/research that best exemplifies Washington and Lee's values of service, leadership, and character.
Emerging Leader of the Year: Recognizes a student that is passionate about leadership education and its practice. This student should bring innovative ideas to the table and exude a high level of commitment to empowering other student leaders.
Nabors Service League McLoughlin Award for Volunteerism: Recognizes a student(s) who demonstrate a commitment to their community through innovative service.
Not Unmindful of a Sustainable Future Award: Recognizes up to two students who lead sustainability efforts either for the W&L campus or for our global community.
Outing Club Leadership Award: Recognizes outing club leader(s) who demonstrates commitment to the mission of the outing club and has had the largest impact on others while in this role.
Outstanding Residential Adviser/Community Assistant: New and Returning.
